Một trong những dạng câu hỏi chắc chắn sẽ ra trong kỳ thi tuyển sinh đại học môn tiếng Anh là Sentence Transformation, hay còn được gọi là bài tập viết lại câu. Trong bài hôm nay, chúng ta sẽ tìm hiểu về dịnh nghĩa, lý thuyết cần để làm dạng bài tập này, và một số bài tập nhé.


Sentence Transformation

Definition

Sentence Transformation là dạng câu hỏi yêu cầu học sinh phải viết lại một câu khác đồng nghĩa với câu đã được cho trước. Đôi lúc sẽ có gợi ý được cho trước. Một số lúc sẽ không có yêu cầu gì khác ngoài việc lại câu hoàn chỉnh, đủ nghĩa. Có lúc lại yêu cầu câu viết lại phải có chứa một từ nào đó được cho trước.

Ví dụ:

The table is so tall. I cannot reach it.

SO…

(Such)

Câu này có thể viết lại thành:

  • So tall is the table that I cannot reach it.
  • This is such a tall table that I cannot reach it.
  • The height of the table prevents me from reaching it.

Trong bài này, thầy sẽ gói gọn (cũng không gọn lắm đâu) lại tất cả những cấu trúc hay được thường được dùng trong kỳ thi tuyển sinh đại học môn tiếng Anh qua các năm.
