Future Perfect Tương Lai Hoàn Thành

Tương Lai Hoàn Thành (hay future perfect) là một thì (tense) mà thầy rất ít khi dùng. Bản thân thầy cũng không dám tự nhận là siêu việt trong ngôn ngữ Anh. Nhưng chí ít thầy cũng từng đạt IELTS Writing 8.0. Để các bạn hiểu là, trừ khi các bạn học vì một mục đích cụ thể, thì Future Perfect thật sự không quá cần thiết! Vì lý do này, thầy liệt kê nó vào nhóm Ngữ Pháp Tiếng Anh nâng cao.

FORMATION

Subject + Will Have + Past Participle (V3)

I will have finished my homework by the time you return.

We will have finished our homework by the time you return.
They will have finished their homework by the time you return.

She will have finished her homework by the time you return.
He will have finished her homework by the time you return.

It will have finished its dinner by the time you return.

Our cat will have finished its dinner by the time you come.

Our cats will have finished their dinner by the time you come.

USES

1. An action which will be completed before a point of time in the future or before another future action
   Một hành động hoàn tất trước một mốc thời gian trong tương lai.
   By lunch time, I will have met and interviewed 10 applicants for the job.
   When I go to lunch, I will have met and interviewed 10 applicants for the job.

2. For an action already begun before a point of time in the future or before another future action, and still in progress when that time arrives, when that other action happens. Here a period of time is normally used.
   Một hành động bắt đầu trước một mốc thời gian trong tương lai, vẫn tiếp diễn tại thời điểm đó, và có thể tiếp tục diễn ra sau thời điểm đó. (O__O!)
   By the end of this year, I will have studied/been studying Judo for 5 years.
   By the time I get my black belt, I will have studied/ been studying Judo for five years.

Put these verbs into suitable tenses of future perfect

2. By the end of next week my wife (do) her spring cleaning and we’ll all be able to relax again.

4. In two months’ time he (finish) his preliminary training and will be starting work.
5. He spends all his spare time planting trees. He says that by the end of next year he (plant) 2,000.
6. I’ll be back again at the end of next month. ~ I hope I (pass) my driving test by then. If I have, I’ll meet your train.
7. Come back in an hour. I (do) my packing by then and we’ll be able to have a talk.
8. When he reaches Land’s End he (walk) 1,500 miles.
9. He’s only 35 but he’s started losing his hair already. He (lose) it all by the time he’s 50.
